Multi‐annual (2025‐2028) Crisis Preparedness Training package AUTORIDAD EUROPEA DE SEGURIDAD ALIMENTARIA: SUBVENCIONES/NOTICIAS/ADQUISCIONES

This report satisfies the first deliverable specified in the Framework Contract EFSA/2023/OP/0008 (OC/EFSA/KNOW/2023/02) – Food and Feed Safety Crises Preparedness trainings, namely, to set out a four‐year crisis training package that meets EFSA´s overall and specific objectives for the project. The proposed EFSA’s multi‐annual training package (2025‐2028) on crisis preparedness aims to improve coordination within EFSA and enhance collaboration between EFSA and institutional stakeholders, involved in crisis preparedness and response efforts. This training approach suggests a specific framework for the development and organisation of one ‘internal’ and one ´external´ training event per year. The primary goal of the annual internal crisis preparedness training is to disseminate and familiarize EFSA’s staff with procedures to crisis response and to collect feedback with a view to updating the process; the annual external training on crisis preparedness includes a simulation exercise involving EFSA, Member States and other institutional stakeholders and aims to increase awareness and enhance coordination and collaboration between EFSA and its institutional partners during food and feed safety crises. The technical domains, countries and organisations invited, as well as the number and profile of the participants (disciplines and functions), will be determined annually based on the objectives and topics, considering the external trainings carried out in previous years. Within the framework of the EFSA Strategy 2027, the multi‐annual (2025‐2028) crisis preparedness training package and the trainings derived from it, will contribute to the achievement of EFSA Strategic Objective 2 ´Ensure preparedness for future risk analysis needs´, increasing risk analysis capabilities (knowledge, expertise, methodologies and data) in order to maintain relevance for the future.
