Chan (EE.UU.), una dieta rica en fibra y carbohidratos de alta calidad durante la edad adulta se asocia con un envejecimiento m\u00e1s saludable en mujeres.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio, publicado recientemente en la revista cient\u00edfica\u00a0JAMA Network Open, ha analizado los h\u00e1bitos alimentarios y la salud posterior de m\u00e1s de 47 000 mujeres durante un periodo de m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados revelan que aquellas mujeres que en su etapa media de la vida consum\u00edan m\u00e1s carbohidratos complejos \u2014presentes en cereales integrales, frutas, verduras y legumbres\u2014 y fibra diet\u00e9tica, ten\u00edan entre un 6 % y un 37 % m\u00e1s de probabilidades de envejecer de forma saludable.<\/p>\n<p>En contraste, el consumo elevado de carbohidratos refinados, como los az\u00facares a\u00f1adidos y los granos refinados, se asocia con una reducci\u00f3n del 13 % en las probabilidades de un envejecimiento saludable.<\/p>\n<p>Las mujeres que consum\u00edan m\u00e1s carbohidratos complejos y fibra diet\u00e9tica ten\u00edan entre un\u00a06 % y un 37 %\u00a0m\u00e1s de probabilidades\u00a0de envejecer de forma saludable<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl objetivo era ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los efectos inmediatos de los macronutrientes y observar su impacto en la salud 30 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s\u201d, explica Andr\u00e9s Ardisson Korat, investigador del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Nutrici\u00f3n Humana sobre el Envejecimiento Jean Mayer (HNRCA) de Tufts y autor principal del estudio. \u201cNuestros hallazgos sugieren que la calidad de los carbohidratos puede ser un factor clave para un envejecimiento saludable\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es envejecimiento saludable?<\/h2>\n<p>El equipo define el \u2018envejecimiento saludable\u2019 como la ausencia de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas importantes, buen estado mental, y el mantenimiento de la funci\u00f3n f\u00edsica y cognitiva. Solo 3 706 mujeres cumplieron con estos criterios en 2016, a\u00f1o final del seguimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Qi Sun, profesor asociado de nutrici\u00f3n y epidemiolog\u00eda en Harvard y otro de los autores del estudio, a\u00f1ade: \u201cEstos resultados se alinean con evidencias previas que vinculan el consumo de frutas, verduras, legumbres y cereales integrales con una menor incidencia de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas.
