provisto con equipamiento oceanogr\u00e1fico de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Para ello, la expedici\u00f3n \u201cUnderwater Oases of Mar Del Plata Canyon: Talud Continental IV\u201d emplea el veh\u00edculo operado remotamente (ROV)\u00a0SuBastian, capaz de capturar im\u00e1genes submarinas en alta definici\u00f3n y recolectar muestras sin alterar el entorno.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>En colaboraci\u00f3n con la fundaci\u00f3n\u00a0Schmidt Ocean Institute,\u00a0la traves\u00eda se desarrolla a bordo del buque de investigaci\u00f3n Falkor, provisto con equipamiento oceanogr\u00e1fico de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n obtiene im\u00e1genes desde profundidades de hasta 3 900 metros.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Ecosistemas vulnerables<\/h2>\n<p>El Ca\u00f1\u00f3n de Mar del Plata se encuentra frente a la provincia de Buenos Aires, en el l\u00edmite entre las corrientes de Brasil y Malvinas, una frontera biogeogr\u00e1fica clave para el Atl\u00e1ntico sur.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El equipo cient\u00edfico analiz\u00f3 m\u00faltiples estaciones de muestreo para estudiar la\u00a0distribuci\u00f3n de especies\u00a0y su relaci\u00f3n con variables ambientales, topogr\u00e1ficas y oceanogr\u00e1ficas<\/p>\n<p>A lo largo de su traves\u00eda, el equipo cient\u00edfico analiz\u00f3 m\u00faltiples estaciones de muestreo para estudiar la distribuci\u00f3n de especies y su estudio de la biodiversidad bent\u00f3nica (invertebrados y peces), la reproducci\u00f3n y biogeograf\u00eda de fauna en niveles profundos, el ADN ambiental y otros como la din\u00e1mica de sedimentos, seg\u00fan explica el investigador del CONICET y jefe cient\u00edfico de la expedici\u00f3n,\u00a0Daniel Lauretta.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Tecnolog\u00eda resistente<\/h2>\n<p>En cuanto a la tecnolog\u00eda empleada, \u201capenas estamos empezando y ya vemos cosas incre\u00edbles: animales que nunca se hab\u00edan registrado en esta zona, paisajes submarinos que parecen de otro planeta, y comportamientos que sorprenden hasta a los cient\u00edficos m\u00e1s experimentados, cuenta el experto sobre el ROV SuBastian.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                    <img Adem\u00e1s, tuvieron problemas para grabar, tomar muestras e incluso entender lo que ve\u00edan. A veces, encontraban organismos que nadie hab\u00eda visto, o interacciones que no sab\u00edan c\u00f3mo explicar, resalta Lauretta.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abFue como explorar otro planeta, pero debajo del agua.
