En determinadas condiciones ambientales, pueden experimentar un r\u00e1pido crecimiento \u2013conocido como bloom\u2013 y producir metabolitos t\u00f3xicos que representan un riesgo para la salud de animales y humanos, adem\u00e1s de comprometer la calidad del agua para su uso dom\u00e9stico e industrial.<\/p>\n<p>Las\u00a0cianobacterias\u00a0son microorganismos presentes de forma natural en r\u00edos, lagos y embalses. En determinadas condiciones ambientales, pueden experimentar un r\u00e1pido crecimiento<\/p>\n<p>El nuevo dispositivo desarrollado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid se plantea como una herramienta preventiva eficaz: puede integrarse f\u00e1cilmente en cualquier sistema de monitorizaci\u00f3n sin requerir conocimientos t\u00e9cnicos avanzados. Su funcionamiento es completamente aut\u00f3nomo: procesa los datos y genera las predicciones de manera autom\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Boyas inteligentes<\/h2>\n<p>El sistema utiliza redes neuronales poco profundas basadas en algoritmos de memoria a corto y largo plazo (LSTM). A diferencia de las redes profundas tradicionales, estas son m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as, espec\u00edficas y eficientes, lo que permite reducir el coste computacional. Adem\u00e1s, antes de ser incorporada al dispositivo, la red neuronal es comprimida mediante discretizaci\u00f3n, reduciendo a\u00fan m\u00e1s su tama\u00f1o para facilitar su implementaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El dispositivo se conecta como un complemento (add-on) a los sensores existentes en las boyas de monitorizaci\u00f3n. Recibe en tiempo real datos como la temperatura o la fluorescencia de la ficocianina, los procesa para ejecutar el modelo predictivo y transmite inal\u00e1mbricamente tanto los datos originales como las predicciones.<\/p>\n<p>El dispositivo se conecta como un\u00a0complemento (add-on) a los sensores existentes\u00a0en las boyas de monitorizaci\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados obtenidos muestran precisiones superiores al 70 % en horizontes de predicci\u00f3n de hasta 28 d\u00edas, un rendimiento que supera en un 20 % al de otros algoritmos evaluados en el mismo dispositivo con redes neuronales profundas comprimidas.
