Tras casi cuatro a\u00f1os de seguimiento, el 8 % sufri\u00f3 alg\u00fan evento cardiovascular grave (muerte, nuevo infarto o insuficiencia cardiaca), sin diferencias entre grupos. Tampoco hubo beneficios en mortalidad, reinfartos, insuficiencia cardiaca ni arritmias, independientemente de edad, sexo o tipo de betabloqueante.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEsto muestra que no hay ning\u00fan subgrupo de pacientes postinfarto con funci\u00f3n cardiaca normal que se beneficie de betabloqueantes\u201d, se\u00f1ala Xavier Rossell\u00f3, cient\u00edfico del CNIC y coautor del trabajo. El an\u00e1lisis tambi\u00e9n descarta un posible efecto adverso en mujeres observado en el ensayo REBOOT.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agenciasinc.es\/bundles\/app\/images\/quotebefore.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Estos resultados no significan que se haya tratado mal a los pacientes, sino que la mejora en el manejo del infarto hace que los betabloqueantes ya no sean necesarios en este grupo<\/p>\n<p>Borja Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, director cient\u00edfico del CNIC<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agenciasinc.es\/bundles\/app\/images\/quoteafter.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>El impacto cl\u00ednico es enorme: hoy, el 70 % de los pacientes que sufren un infarto tienen funci\u00f3n cardiaca normal. Borja Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, director cient\u00edfico del CNIC, subraya que \u201cestos resultados no significan que se haya tratado mal a los pacientes, sino que la mejora en el manejo del infarto hace que los betabloqueantes ya no sean necesarios en este grupo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los betabloqueantes siguen siendo esenciales en pacientes con fracci\u00f3n de eyecci\u00f3n reducida (&lt;50%) o con insuficiencia cardiaca cr\u00f3nica y arritmias. Nadie debe suspender el tratamiento sin consultar con su m\u00e9dico, ya que puede haber otras indicaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Estos f\u00e1rmacos siguen siendo esenciales en pacientes con fracci\u00f3n de eyecci\u00f3n reducida (&lt;50%) o con insuficiencia cardiaca cr\u00f3nica y arritmias<\/p>\n<p>Durante m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os, todos los pacientes postinfarto recib\u00edan betabloqueantes de por vida, bas\u00e1ndose en estudios de los a\u00f1os 70 y 80.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Cambio de paradigma<\/h2>\n<p>El nuevo metaan\u00e1lisis confirma el cambio de paradigma iniciado por el ensayo REBOOT: los pacientes con funci\u00f3n cardiaca normal no obtienen beneficio.
