Por ello, el\u00a0contenido de calor oce\u00e1nico (OHC)\u00a0se considera uno de los indicadores m\u00e1s fiables para seguir el cambio clim\u00e1tico a largo plazo.<\/p>\n<p>La evaluaci\u00f3n combina datos de importantes centros internacionales y grupos de investigaci\u00f3n independientes, incluyendo tres instituciones observacionales: el Instituto de F\u00edsica Atmosf\u00e9rica de la Academia China de Ciencias; Copernicus Marine; y NOAA\/NCEI. Adem\u00e1s, incluye un rean\u00e1lisis oce\u00e1nica de tres continentes: Asia, Europa y Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>Los oc\u00e9anos absorben m\u00e1s del\u00a090 % del exceso de calor\u00a0generado por los gases de efecto invernadero, convirti\u00e9ndose en el mayor reservorio t\u00e9rmico del planeta<\/p>\n<p>Estos grupos confirman que el OHC de 2025 alcanz\u00f3 el nivel m\u00e1s alto registrado, confirmando la continua ganancia de calor por parte de los oc\u00e9anos.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Regiones que se calientan m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido<\/h2>\n<p>Asimismo, el calentamiento no es uniforme ya que algunas regiones aumentan su temperatura m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que otras. En 2025, el 16 % de los oc\u00e9anos registr\u00f3 un OHC r\u00e9cord, y aproximadamente el 33 % se situ\u00f3 entre los tres valores m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidos de su historia. Las zonas m\u00e1s afectadas fueron el\u00a0Atl\u00e1ntico tropical y sur, el Pac\u00edfico norte y el Oc\u00e9ano Austral.<\/p>\n<p>El r\u00e9cord global refleja que el calentamiento de los oc\u00e9anos se ha intensificado desde la d\u00e9cada de 1990 respecto a periodos anteriores. En los primeros 2 000 metros de profundidad, el aumento del contenido de calor oce\u00e1nico (OHC) ha sido constante en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, con una ligera aceleraci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. El a\u00f1o pasado, el OHC volvi\u00f3 a alcanzar su nivel m\u00e1s alto registrado, como ha ocurrido en cada uno de los nueve a\u00f1os anteriores.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Temperaturas superficiales<\/h2>\n<p>La\u00a0temperatura media de la superficie del mar\u00a0de ese a\u00f1o fue la tercera m\u00e1s alta registrada, alrededor de 0,5\u202f\u00b0C por encima del promedio de 1981 a 2010, ligeramente inferior a 2023 y 2024 por la transici\u00f3n de\u00a0El Ni\u00f1o a La Ni\u00f1a\u00a0en el Pac\u00edfico tropical.<\/p>\n<p>Las aguas m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidas intensifican la evaporaci\u00f3n y las lluvias, provocando\u00a0ciclones y fen\u00f3menos extremos<\/p>\n<p>Las aguas m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidas intensifican la evaporaci\u00f3n y las lluvias, provocando\u00a0ciclones y fen\u00f3menos extremos, que en 2025 causaron inundaciones en el sudeste asi\u00e1tico, sequ\u00edas en Medio Oriente y fuertes lluvias en M\u00e9xico y el noroeste del Pac\u00edfico. Las temperaturas de la superficie del mar son especialmente importantes porque afectan los patrones clim\u00e1ticos en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Las superficies m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidas favorecen una mayor evaporaci\u00f3n y lluvias m\u00e1s intensas, lo que provoca ciclones tropicales y eventos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos m\u00e1s severos. Estos fen\u00f3menos jugaron un papel importante en inundaciones generalizadas y perturbaciones en gran parte del sudeste asi\u00e1tico, sequ\u00edas en Medio Oriente y lluvias intensas en M\u00e9xico y el noroeste del Pac\u00edfico en 2025.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Colecci\u00f3n especial<\/h2>\n<p>El aumento del calor oce\u00e1nico contribuye a la\u00a0subida del nivel del mar, prolonga las olas de calor y potencia fen\u00f3menos extremos al elevar la temperatura y humedad en la atm\u00f3sfera. Mientras la Tierra siga acumulando calor, el contenido de energ\u00eda de los oc\u00e9anos continuar\u00e1 en ascenso y se seguir\u00e1n batiendo r\u00e9cords.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados se incluir\u00e1n en una colecci\u00f3n especial sobre Cambios en el Contenido de Calor Oce\u00e1nico, organizada por la revista\u00a0Advances in Atmospheric Sciences.
