Asimismo, compararon de qu\u00e9 forma el caf\u00e9, el t\u00e9 y el\u00a0caf\u00e9 descafeinado\u00a0influyeron en la salud cognitiva de cada participante.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>La cafe\u00edna tiene beneficios cognitivos<\/h2>\n<p>De todos ellos, 11 033 desarrollaron demencia, los que tomaron caf\u00e9 con cafe\u00edna redujeron un 18 % su riesgo de padecer esta enfermedad y un 7,8 % su deterioro cognitivo, frente a aquellos que declararon un consumo escaso o nulo del estimulante.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Los participantes que beb\u00edan t\u00e9 mostraron resultados similares, pero aquellos que inger\u00edan caf\u00e9 descafeinado no lo hicieron. Esto revel\u00f3 a los investigadores que la cafe\u00edna es el factor activo principal con efectos neuroprotectores, aunque a\u00f1adieron que requer\u00edan de otras investigaciones para validar el mecanismo responsable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Los que tomaron caf\u00e9 con cafe\u00edna redujeron un 18 % su riesgo de padecer demencia y un 7,8 % su deterioro cognitivo<\/p>\n<p>Los beneficios cognitivos fueron m\u00e1s pronunciados entre aquellos que consumieron entre dos y tres tazas de caf\u00e9 con cafe\u00edna o entre una y dos tazas de t\u00e9 al d\u00eda. Un mayor consumo de esta sustancia no produjo efectos negativos, sino que proporcion\u00f3 beneficios similares a los de la dosis \u00f3ptima.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s,\u00a0tambi\u00e9n evaluaron su efectividad en participantes con predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica para desarrollar demencia y, seg\u00fan\u00a0concluy\u00f3\u00a0el autor principal de la investigaci\u00f3n,\u00a0Yu Zhang, observaron\u00a0resultados parecidos en pacientes con alto o bajo riesgo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Referencia:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Zhang, Y. et al.
