Seg\u00fan los resultados, los autores se\u00f1alan una relaci\u00f3n entre los niveles locales de sequ\u00eda y la frecuencia media de resistencia a los antibi\u00f3ticos en los hospitales, lo que sugiere otra forma en que el cambio clim\u00e1tico puede afectar a la salud p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Fuente de antibi\u00f3ticos naturales<\/h2>\n<p>Los suelos son una rica fuente de compuestos antibi\u00f3ticos naturales, y muchos microbios del suelo han desarrollado mecanismos para sobrevivir a la exposici\u00f3n a ellos.<\/p>\n<p>En total se recopilaron cinco conjuntos de datos metagen\u00f3micos de estudios anteriores, que inclu\u00edan suelos de tierras de cultivo y pastizales de California, bosques de Valais (Suiza) y humedales de Nanchang (China)<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, no estaba claro c\u00f3mo las sequ\u00edas m\u00e1s frecuentes y prolongadas provocadas por el cambio clim\u00e1tico pueden afectar al equilibrio entre microorganismos productores de antibi\u00f3ticos y los resistentes a ellos en el suelo, ni si esto tendr\u00eda alguna implicaci\u00f3n para la salud humana.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo cient\u00edfico liderado por la investigadora Dianne Newman combin\u00f3 an\u00e1lisis computacionales con experimentos de laboratorio para examinar c\u00f3mo la sequ\u00eda afecta a la din\u00e1mica de los antibi\u00f3ticos en el suelo.<\/p>\n<p>En total recopilaron cinco conjuntos de datos metagen\u00f3micos de estudios anteriores, que inclu\u00edan suelos de tierras de cultivo y pastizales de California, bosques de Valais (Suiza) y humedales de Nanchang (China).
