Para poner a prueba su experimento, los expertos cartografiaron las formas de las copas y los perfiles de luz en 3D de cada \u00e1rbol en 12 parcelas forestales de diversas edades, lo que supuso un total de 2 000 \u00e1rboles individuales de 50 especies distintas.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados mostraron c\u00f3mo la competencia por la luz impulsa de forma cuantitativa la sucesi\u00f3n forestal.
