Inouye, situado en el volc\u00e1n Haleakala en la isla de Maui (Haw\u00e1i, EE. Al analizar una regi\u00f3n magn\u00e9ticamente activa en las proximidades de una mancha solar, las secuencias temporales obtenidas por el instrumento mostraron una superficie dominada por estructuras en forma de bandas y torbellinos de escala reducida.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Primera confirmaci\u00f3n en la superficie solar<\/h2>\n<p>Estas formaciones han sido identificadas por los autores como inestabilidades de Kelvin\u2013Helmholtz, un fen\u00f3meno cl\u00e1sico de la din\u00e1mica de fluidos que se produce cuando dos capas de fluido adyacentes se desplazan a diferentes velocidades, generando ondas y v\u00f3rtices caracter\u00edsticos. Aunque este proceso se hab\u00eda teorizado e identificado en capas superiores de la atm\u00f3sfera solar como la corona, el nuevo trabajo aporta la primera confirmaci\u00f3n fehaciente de su existencia directa en la superficie de la estrella.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agenciasinc.es\/bundles\/app\/images\/quotebefore.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas im\u00e1genes revelan con un detalle sin precedentes c\u00f3mo la materia solar se mezcla en escalas espaciales diminutas\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David Kuritze, Observatorio Solar Nacional<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agenciasinc.es\/bundles\/app\/images\/quoteafter.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas im\u00e1genes revelan con un detalle sin precedentes c\u00f3mo la materia solar se mezcla en escalas espaciales diminutas\u201d, explica David Kuridze, investigador del Observatorio Solar Nacional (NSO por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) de Estados Unidos y autor principal del trabajo. \u201cIdentificar estas inestabilidades en la fotosfera nos ayuda a entender c\u00f3mo interact\u00faan el flujo de plasma y las l\u00edneas de campo magn\u00e9tico a peque\u00f1a escala, un mecanismo fundamental para explicar la disipaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda en el Sol\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Din\u00e1mica de campos magn\u00e9ticos y transferencia de energ\u00eda<\/h2>\n<p>La presencia extendida de estas inestabilidades sugiere que el mezclado del plasma en la fotosfera es mucho m\u00e1s activo de lo que predec\u00edan los modelos te\u00f3ricos tradicionales. Este proceso desempe\u00f1a un papel clave en la reconexi\u00f3n magn\u00e9tica y en la transferencia de masa y energ\u00eda hacia las capas superiores de la atm\u00f3sfera solar, factores determinantes para comprender los mecanismos que desencadenan las erupciones solares y el clima espacial.<\/p>\n<p>El Telescopio Solar Inouye, financiado por la Fundaci\u00f3n Nacional de Ciencias de EE. UU. (NSF), cuenta con un espejo primario de cuatro metros que le permite resolver detalles en el Sol de tan solo una docena de kil\u00f3metros.
