Aunque la supervivencia ha mejorado en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, estudios europeos suger\u00edan la posible existencia de desigualdades socioecon\u00f3micas en la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria, tambi\u00e9n en Espa\u00f1a. Esto se tradujo en la p\u00e9rdida de un a\u00f1o de vida entre aquellas con bajo nivel socioecon\u00f3mico, tras considerar la edad y las caracter\u00edsticas del tumor.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n analiza datos de seis registros de c\u00e1ncer de poblaci\u00f3n en diferentes provincias espa\u00f1olas: Castell\u00f3n, Gipuzkoa, Girona, Granada, Navarra y Tarragona.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Principales hallazgos<\/h2>\n<p>Aunque no se encontraron diferencias en los tratamientos principales, en el estudio se observ\u00f3 que los procedimientos como las biopsias de ganglio centinela (una t\u00e9cnica poco invasiva para determinar el estadio de la enfermedad) y las reconstrucciones mamarias tras mastectom\u00eda fueron menos frecuentes en estas zonas m\u00e1s desfavorecidas.<\/p>\n<p>Residir en un \u00e1rea m\u00e1s desfavorecida redujo las oportunidades de recibir ciertos tratamientos en el tiempo recomendado, como la cirug\u00eda en los 30 d\u00edas posteriores al diagn\u00f3stico<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, residir en un \u00e1rea m\u00e1s desfavorecida redujo las oportunidades de recibir ciertos tratamientos en el tiempo recomendado, como la cirug\u00eda en los 30 d\u00edas posteriores al diagn\u00f3stico o el inicio del tratamiento adyuvante en las seis semanas despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Implicaciones<\/h2>\n<p>El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n destaca que abordar las desigualdades socioecon\u00f3micas en el c\u00e1ncer requiere un enfoque colaborativo y multidisciplinar, y es una prioridad del Plan Europeo de Lucha contra el C\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAunque los tratamientos principales fueron los mismos, la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria que recibieron las pacientes de \u00e1reas desfavorecidas no siempre garantiz\u00f3 la mejor calidad de vida posible.
