Tendones que atraviesan el marco est\u00e1n conectados a cabrestantes el\u00e9ctricos en una carga \u00fatil flotante central, lo que permite al robot girar su estructura y plegar las ruedas hacia adentro para formar una esfera, con la carga \u00fatil suspendida en su centro.<\/p>\n<p>El robot puede superar obst\u00e1culos de la mitad de su altura y atravesar espacios m\u00e1s estrechos que su estructura en forma de veh\u00edculo. Adem\u00e1s, la configuraci\u00f3n esf\u00e9rica le permite reducir el impacto y proteger su carga \u00fatil cuando es lanzado desde una altura.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Sensores a bordo<\/h2>\n<p>El GOAT utiliza\u00a0sensores\u00a0a bordo y puntos de referencia predefinidos para navegar de forma aut\u00f3noma. En pruebas ha recorrido m\u00e1s de 4,5 kil\u00f3metros en diversos entornos. Los investigadores tambi\u00e9n demostraron que el robot puede cambiar de forma mientras est\u00e1 en movimiento para pasar de tierra a agua o liberarse cuando queda atascado.<\/p>\n<p>Esta innovaci\u00f3n supera las limitaciones de robots bioinspirados reconfigurables existentes, que a menudo se ven restringidos por movimientos lentos o requieren sistemas complejos<\/p>\n<p>Los autores sugieren que estos robots reconfigurables podr\u00edan encontrar aplicaciones futuras en monitoreo ambiental, respuestas a desastres o exploraci\u00f3n espacial.
