Calcium d\u2010pantothenate and d\u2010panthenol are currently authorised as nutritional feed additives for all animal species and categories. The FEEDAP Panel concluded that the use of calcium d\u2010pantothenate and d\u2010panthenol as feed additive in animal nutrition under the conditions of use is of no concern for the safety of the target species, the consumer and the environment. Calcium d\u2010pantothenate is not irritant to skin and eyes and is not a dermal sensitiser. d\u2010panthenol is considered to be a skin and eye irritant and a dermal and respiratory sensitiser.
