Este fen\u00f3meno tambi\u00e9n afectar\u00eda al clima de Espa\u00f1a y Portugal, propiciando condiciones de mayor humedad en invierno, aunque en este caso el efecto observado es m\u00e1s d\u00e9bil.<\/p>\n<p>En una escala de tiempo de d\u00e9cadas, la p\u00e9rdida de hielo \u00e1rtico favorece un clima m\u00e1s seco en el suroeste de Estados Unidos. eL fen\u00f3meno tambi\u00e9n afectar\u00eda al clima de Espa\u00f1a y Portugal, propiciando mayor humedad en invierno<\/p>\n<p>\u00abHay mucho desacuerdo cient\u00edfico sobre los efectos remotos de la p\u00e9rdida de hielo marino en el \u00c1rtico. Hasta ahora, muchos estudios se han centrado en los efectos a largo plazo, en una escala de siglos. Otros han investigado la respuesta a la p\u00e9rdida de hielo marino con configuraciones de modelizaci\u00f3n que imponen artificialmente calor para derretir el hielo marino, lo que puede afectar a la respuesta simulada\u00bb\u00a0explica\u00a0Ivana Cvijanovic, investigadora de ISGlobal y autora principal del estudio.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Cvijanovic,\u00a0\u00abAlgunos trabajos han modificado la cobertura de hielo marino ant\u00e1rtico y \u00e1rtico al mismo tiempo, lo que dificulta discernir sus contribuciones individuales. En nuestro trabajo hemos desarrollado una metodolog\u00eda para evaluar el impacto de la p\u00e9rdida de hielo \u00e1rtico sin a\u00f1adir ning\u00fan flujo de calor, y nos hemos centrado en los impactos que se desarrollar\u00e1n en unas pocas d\u00e9cadas\u00bb,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Modelos de complejidad variable<\/h2>\n<p>Para llegar a estas conclusiones, el equipo utiliz\u00f3 tres modelos de complejidad variable. En cada uno de ellos, realizaron dos conjuntos de simulaciones, uno con la cantidad hist\u00f3rica de hielo marino en el \u00c1rtico y otro con una disminuci\u00f3n sustancial de la cobertura de hielo marino.<\/p>\n<p>La desaparici\u00f3n del hielo marino modifica el albedo superficial, es decir, la reflectividad del oc\u00e9ano \u00c1rtico, pero tambi\u00e9n elimina el aislamiento entre la atm\u00f3sfera y la superficie oce\u00e1nica y afecta a los perfiles de salinidad.
