El estudio, publicado en la revista Molecular Psychiatry, muestra c\u00f3mo dos mol\u00e9culas en la sangre pueden revelar su avance de forma m\u00e1s precisa.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores lograron identificar la gravedad del alzh\u00e9imer con un 93 % de precisi\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, m\u00e1s de 800 000 espa\u00f1oles padecen esta patolog\u00eda, la mayor\u00eda mayores de 65 a\u00f1os y predominantemente mujeres. Este estudio podr\u00eda ser un paso crucial para entender por qu\u00e9 ellas son m\u00e1s vulnerables.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Cambios en dos mol\u00e9culas<\/h2>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos descubrieron que los niveles de dos mol\u00e9culas del cuerpo cambian de manera diferente en hombres y mujeres cuando el alzh\u00e9imer avanza: la acetil-L-carnitina y la carnitina libre. En ellas, ambas disminuyen gradualmente conforme empeora la enfermedad, mientras que en ellos solo una de ellas muestra cambios.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n abre la puerta a un futuro diagn\u00f3stico mucho m\u00e1s sencillo. Actualmente, detectar esta patolog\u00eda requiere procedimientos invasivos como punciones lumbares. El nuevo m\u00e9todo permitir\u00eda hacer un seguimiento simplemente con un an\u00e1lisis de sangre.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Un 93 % de precisi\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>Los investigadores lograron identificar la gravedad de la enfermedad de Alzheimer con un 93 % de precisi\u00f3n, combinando estos nuevos biomarcadores con los m\u00e9todos tradicionales.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, m\u00e1s de 800 000 espa\u00f1oles padecen esta patolog\u00eda, la mayor\u00eda mayores de 65 a\u00f1os y predominantemente mujeres<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNuestros hallazgos ofrecen la evidencia m\u00e1s s\u00f3lida hasta ahora para identificar a quienes tienen alzh\u00e9imer\u201d, se\u00f1ala Betty Bigio, investigadora principal del estudio.
